Woolly
Woolly, wo/wo
Two copies of the recessive Woolly
Chromosome: Unknown
RVG description:
May be a reoccurrence of Wavy (wvwv). Woollies are being bred by Two Lakes Rattery, Canada.
Coat will start wavy and develop into a dense, but soft and fluffy coat with a sheep wool feel. Babies have a mohawk-like ridge starting mid-back going down to the hip. During the first moult they will appear similar to Rex or Double Velveteen. Coat straightens out a bit for at more shorn sheep look, some lose fur in inconsistent patterns. After the moult the coat initially is soft and wispy but will become dense with time. Guard hairs on males are longer and feels coarser while both males and females have fluffy undercoats. Whiskers resembles Velveteen more than Rex but have a slightly wilder look.
