Satin
Satin, sa/sa
Two copies of Satin
Chromosome: Unknown
RVG description:
Satin 1 will have a shiny, semi-long coat. The shine is due to the tips of the hair shafts being hollow, this in turn reflects light.
Identifying Satin 1 on pinkies is easy when compared to their standard siblings. Whiskers appear blown back (see pictures), but the coat will appear like their standard siblings. Around first moult the guard hairs will shed and leave a wooly undercoat. After the moult a new, shiny coat will emerge, which has a distinct look compared to a standard. The coat will start to look darker or more saturated than a standard, although this is most apparent on darker colors.
