Lustrous
Lustrous, lt/lt
Two copies of Lustrous
Chromosome: 3
RVG description:
Lustrous will have a shiny, unkept-looking coat. The shine comes from the fatty fluid in the hair shafts. These fatty fluids also causes the coat to have a "greasy" look, especially as pups. Lighter varieties and lighter marked rats may have a yellow tint due to the fatty fluids in the light/white hair shafts.
Identifying Lustrous on pinkies is easy because the whiskers will be crimped and blown back. The whiskers will straighten with age but always have a slightly droopy look.
